Schone Gruesse aus Australien
Hello Stefan! It's Rob McMillan here, we meet in Melbourne during the MIFB. I just wanted to write you and thank you for all you help. Apart from being the greatest inspiration, ever, the tips and advice you gave me helped me in ways I never imagined! Firstly, I fixed my posture! I got rid of my flipper and reduced the pressure I use to play! I performed the Gliere concerto for my finale masters recital (just the way you asked it to be) and I "made a plan" for all my MSO audition excerpts, I didn't win the job, but it was my best audition to date.
So I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU!!!!
I'm on a small tour of china right now with an Australian orchestra, after this trip, my girl and I will be heading back to Vienna/Europe to see friends and to look for a good 103 :-D
Please let me know if you have any concerts in January? We plan to be in Berlin for a couple of days, probably sometime in the middle of Jan., if you happened to have any concerts please, PLEASE let us know and we'll arrange to be there. Just let us know if it's a recorded performance, I don't think the Tonemeister would want to have a couple of Australians woof whistling on his recording ;-)
anyway.. I hope you had a nice Xmas with the family and are looking forward to an even better 2008!!
Kindest regards, Rob
